Ljubljana

January 16, 2014

Since I’ve shared photos from a squat, a cemetary and a record store, you might be asking– did I go anywhere ‘normal’ in Ljubljana? Yes, yes I did. Here’s the proof. It’s such a pretty, quirky city. (This is my last post from Ljubljana, I promise. I’m home for the holidays and have been milking this November minibreak for all it’s worth. I’ll make it up with more posts later!)

I love cities with rivers! Maybe because I love bridges. Athens used to have some but they just had to build on them… Lovely photos.

I’m so fascinated with urban bridges as well! In Athens in 2006 i heard a presentation for a museum design I think it was on the site of a former brewery? And there had once been a river there so they planned a water element in the design as an allusion…

Only when it rains hard nature remind us of their existence and their former root to the sea…Painfully.
