A notebook
In the past few months, I’ve loved keeping a small notebook with me all the time, for jotting down to do lists, thoughts, favorite quotes, goals, doodles, whatever. I also write affirmations. We’re so bombarded with advertising, propaganda, etc, over the course of every day that it’s vital to remind ourselves of the truth, the way things really are. I had a funny moment with this in Ljubljana. I arrived a day before my friends and was feeling depressed about wandering the rainy, foggy city on my own. I stopped for a coffee in a cafe, alone, and opened my notebook to this exact page, with its insistent large pink letters. That really cracked me up. It was a spiritual moment. (You are not alone.)
Despite what people say about born alone/die alone, I believe that they were just bitter people. 😉 Alone but not lonely. How about some cheapish pop/rock philosophy. 😉
oh yes! hehe
Nice Kate!
nobody´s alone!
(:
I LOVE this story! I would love to see more snapshots of your notebook too.
ooo good idea!
this post is really speaking to me right now. Dave drives back to MI tomorrow morning, and I’m feeling overwhelmed and alone. thanks for sharing this reminder and encouragement!
That notebook sounds amazing!!! I think I need to start one of my own! 🙂
it’s a great thing to have in your purse for times when you’re waiting for something… and it’s so fun to look back on later!
