Before I die…
December 31, 2013
I’ve mentioned before how much I admire Candy Chang‘s participatory art projects. In our hostel in Ljubljana, they have a “Before I die” wall. What do you want to do before you die? A great question to ask ourselves on the eve of a New Year.

Before I die? Nothing really. Some things are just wishes, some things are justified simply as efforts really. I wish I am given the strength to try a lot harder to understand and help, to be more patient. Maybe we are not living until we see that other people should have at least what we have. Health, Security, food on the table and a table in a house. Happy New Year! May wishes come true, only if they affect others life for the best.
these are beautiful…. 🙂
What an awesome wall. I’d love to just sit there and read all of them!
oh dear, but most of them were written by teenage boys and extremely icky haha! these were the best ones 🙂
We had one of these outside the art center that I go to! I found this pic of the filled up wall: http://beforeidiechi.tumblr.com/post/22352758578/lill-street-art-center-filled-up
Before I die… fall in love, get married, be a known artist, write a book, and have a following for my work. I could go on, because I like to dream, but how about you?
Happy new year! Look forward to blogging along side you in 2014 🙂
oh i love that there was a wall in your art center! it would be fun to bring this project to more places… for me– i want to make a documentary! and have a family. those are my two big dreams… happy new year dear Sheila!
Oooohh… what type of documentary?

To prepare for death of course. The best way I can achieve to make it.
