Day of tolerance

December 19, 2013

Snapshots from Srebrenica. Sometimes our work is so much fun. We supported a mural painting event and “coffee of tolerance” for the international day of tolerance. The slogan reads, “Tolerance is not a foreign word!” (Tongue in cheek since “tolerancija” in Bosnian is in fact a loan word…) Photos were shared widely on social networks. Again my friend M cracked me up. When I mentioned the mural, she said, “Oh, you mean the mural painted by the coalition for the prevention of bias-motivated incidents?” Facebook is a powerful educational tool, don’t let anyone tell you differently!

Where the art doesn’t know its art yet. Where it doesn’t take itself seriously. After that step, everything is ruined. It may be art still, but the artist has lost his soul…

The kids are experimenting with projects.., but who knows what they might discover in the future?

I love seeing the different work that you do! The art mural idea is so cool. Did you do any painting?

I also love that politically correct definition…”the coalition for the prevention of bias-motivated incidents” 🙂
