Bus ride

Looking through the window during bus rides, there are so many times that I wish I could hop off, take a few photos, and then get back on. A flock of hens, a darling farmhouse, a brightly colored tractor in a green field. But the bus whizzes by, too fast for me to capture what I see. (The Bosnian countryside reminds me so much of train and bus rides through the Chinese countryside– the hilly fields, facade-less brick and concrete houses, laundry hung out to dry.)

    “A flock of hens, a darling farmhouse, a brightly colored tractor in a green field”– reminds me of that gorgeous Norman MacCaig poem, “Summer Farm” 🙂

    I like the effect of using the windows as a border and showing the faint reflections of the glass. It’s fun to “follow” you on the bus ride through these photos!
