Finding photos

Looking at Maps and Fragments‘s* beautiful photos the other day made me wonder if there were any more photos for me to take in Bratunac! Do you ever feel like there’s not much picturesque about the place where you live?
But then as I left the apartment, I saw these reflecting puddles and totally loved them. It just reminds me that I need to be open to seeing everyday places with new eyes.
*Maps and Fragments is a blog that I love– there are interesting photos of Sewon’s travels (I pore over her China photos…), adorable stationary / snail mail projects and mouthwatering food photos. She also did a great series on Kunming’s bike lanes for CoLab Radio; I’d love to do a series like that sometime.

Love this set of photographs! I like the contrast between this post (large, expansive, black and white) and your previous post (small, confined, colorful). Really interesting perspectives.
hah, good point, I didn’t even notice the contrast.. 😉 but I guess I had a subconscious desire for something different!
