Hand-drawn map

November 7, 2012

One of the projects I have for myself is learning how to map the world around me. Last weekend, I led a youth workshop about public spaces. We did some different creative activities; the first thing I had the kids do was to draw a map of their town’s public spaces. The youth from Bratunac are writing a project to revitalize the monument that I am always going on about! They created the map you see below. Because the words wouldn’t mean very much to you reading, I color-coded it a bit so you can see some general themes in their mapping.
