Kiosk Diaries: Installation Slash Performance

This photo documents M’s experimental artistic performance. (Meet M, if you haven’t already.) It is a live, temporary, on-site installation which represents the work-worker symbiosis and comments on the divisions between interior and exterior spaces… (Have you ever seen the INSIDE of the tobacco stand?)

I’m fascinated by the very existence of a tobacco stand! A stand that only or even mostly sells tobacco? It would never survive in the US!

Is anything else sold there? Magazines, gum, drinks, lottery tickets?

all of the above! also chips, matches, chocolate, tissues, ground coffee, pens… Yesterday I got a blank notebook for writing out songs (ie with lines for writing musical notes)– but the biggest sellers by far are cigarettes and cell phone credit. it’s basically just those two things all day long.

Who is the “I” who got a blank notebook? M or K? 🙂
