Walls Project: Dzezva

January 28, 2013

When I was looking at the Obraz graffiti, I saw that by changing the letters a teensy bit that I could make other Bosnian words. One of my favorites is the word “Dzezva”, which means coffee pot. It’s so traditional and homey, something everyone in Bosnia has in common.

I turned the “O” of Obraz and the cross underneath Obraz into two little dzezvas, outlines of their shape as you see them from above. It doesn’t really look anything like the Obraz graffiti any more.
